On September 28, 1995, the Almaty City Health Department signed an Order authorizing the introduction of a new IVF method and the opening of the first IVF laboratory in Kazakhstan at the Human Reproduction Center under the leadership of Tamara Muftakhovna Dzhusubalieva.
The birth of the first “test tube” child in our country occurred less than a year after the opening of Kazakhstan’s first in vitro fertilization laboratory at the State Center for Human Recreation in Almaty. Then it was the first and only center in Kazakhstan.
As of 2019, there were already more than 9 million children born through IVF in the world.
