September 28, 1995 is a historical date in the development of ART in Kazakhstan. It was on this day that we received official permission to introduce the method of in vitro fertilization in the city center of human reproduction, the first IVF Center in Kazakhstan. This significant event gave rise to the development of ART (assisted reproductive technologies) in Kazakhstan.
The first IVF laboratory, opened in 1995, grew into the Institute of Reproductive Medicine (IRM) with a full range of treatment: IVF Center on Tole bi and IVF Center on Kabanbay Batyr in Almaty, the department of cytogenetics and preimplantation diagnostics, the outpatient department and antenatal clinic, the department of operative gynecology and urology, the department of postgraduate education.
Currently, there are already 26 IVF centers in Kazakhstan and we are proud that we stood at the origins of this service and were able to give parental happiness to thousands of families.
