Dear friends! The cycle of reports to IRM continues. A full report on the work done for 2016 was successfully reported today by the doctors of the IRM antenatal clinic.
The number of women registered for pregnancy in 2016 increased 4 times compared to 2008 and amounted to 1242 patients. Despite the fact that the contingent of pregnant women is not getting any easier - 33% are at risk for complications during pregnancy, 68% have concomitant extragenital pathology, adverse pregnancy outcomes, such as premature birth, bleeding, and severe preeclampsia, are decreasing. We were able to achieve such results, partly due to the fact that our specialists were trained at the European School of Perinatal, Neonatal and Reproductive Medicine in Italy.
The antenatal clinic doctors provide a wide range of medical services: specialized treatment for female infertility and miscarriage, diagnose and treat gynecological diseases, menopausal disorders, cervical pathology, breast diseases, endocrine diseases, provide psychological assistance to women and couples, and provide antenatal care for pregnant women.
In 2016, a new functional diagnostics unit appeared at the IRM antenatal clinic, headed by E.G. Rudneva. Our doctors assess the baby’s condition using ultrasound, Doppler, cardiotocography, and also perform invasive diagnostics according to indications - chorionic villus biopsy, placentocentesis and cordocentesis.
Doctors at the antenatal clinic were one of the first in Kazakhstan to introduce and today successfully use such a modern and innovative method of treating isthmic-cervical insufficiency as an unloading obstetric pessary, and are also one of the few specialists in the Republic of Kazakhstan involved in the examination and management of pregnancy in women with hereditary thrombophilia and Rhesus conflict.
On the basis of the IRM, as well as in the regions of the Republic of Kazakhstan, under the guidance of IRM employees, in 2016, 395 obstetricians and gynecologists completed advanced training courses. Doctors at the IRM antenatal clinic are organizers and active participants in various international scientific and practical conferences and round tables both in Almaty and abroad, including in Kyrgyzstan, Mongolia and Russia.
