Anniversary film. Start of the KARM conference.
On October 28, 2015, the premiere of the feature-documentary film “The History of the Development of IVF and ART in Kazakhstan” will take place at the Chaplin cinema. The film tells about the current problem of infertility and how the development of the reproductive medicine industry took place in Kazakhstan. Leading specialists from the Institute of Reproductive Medicine (IRM), who were at the forefront of the introduction of IVF, will talk about the global work done and the obstacles they had to face.
Leading reproductive specialists will be present at the screening.
In honor of the 20th anniversary of the creation of the first IVF laboratory in Kazakhstan, which during this time has grown into a large scientific and practical institute (IRM), a reception will be held after the screening of the film.
IRM also announces the start of the VII International Congress “Modern approaches to the treatment of infertility. ART: Present and Future”, dedicated to the 20th anniversary of ART (assisted reproductive technologies) in Kazakhstan.
A medical exhibition was organized during the conference. The IRM stand will present methods of modern medicine that help solve the problem of infertility in the country.
The relevance of the topic is due to the fact that infertile marriage remains a serious medical and social problem, the solution of which is important for the population. According to the Kazakhstan Association of Reproductive Medicine (KARM), the incidence of infertility averages 15% and has no tendency to decrease. The development of modern diagnostic methods makes it possible to accurately determine the main causes of infertility and determine methods of its treatment. In almost 50% of cases, infertility is caused by pathology of the male reproductive system. In 25% of cases, combined infertility occurs.
