September 28 is a historical date in the development of ART in Kazakhstan. It was on this day, 23 years ago, that official permission was received to introduce the method of in vitro fertilization in the city center of human reproduction, the first IVF Center in Kazakhstan!
This significant event gave rise to the development of ART (assisted reproductive technologies) in Kazakhstan.
The first IVF laboratory, opened back in 1995, grew into the Institute of Reproductive Medicine (IRM) with a full range of treatment: IVF department, clinic and antenatal clinic, operative gynecology, andrology department, diagnostic laboratory and department of postgraduate education for training specialists of IVF centers.
Currently, there are about 20 IVF centers in Kazakhstan and we are proud that we stood at the origins of this service and were able to give parental happiness to thousands of families.
