In vitro fertilization in a natural cycle (IVF in the EC) is one of the most gentle methods of fertilization, during which hormonal drugs are practically not used to stimulate the ovaries.

Advantages of the IVF program at the EC:

-minimal risk of multiple pregnancy;

-there is no likelihood of ovarian hyperstimulation syndrome;

-the quality of the endometrium for embryo implantation is higher than in stimulated cycles;

-it is possible to carry out the procedure for several months in a row;

-saving patients money.

There are disadvantages of this program:

- as a result of successful collection and fertilization of the egg, only one embryo is obtained, which may not be viable;

-the protocol is quite often canceled due to premature ovulation caused by a spontaneous LH peak;

-it is possible to collect an egg that has not reached sufficient maturity;

-there may be no egg in the follicle.

-The pregnancy rate is lower with IVF in the European Center.
