Dear friends! The reporting period for 2016 has begun at IRM. The department of operative urogynecology was the first to report. The annual report was attended by the guest of honor, international expert, lecturer at Karolinska University (Sweden), Director of Science and Development of the NGC Clinic - Lev Alekseevich Levkov, who highly appreciated the operational activities of the entire department. In 2016, 4188 endoscopic operations were performed. Within the framework of the guaranteed volume of medical care, 89 surgical interventions were performed. The department's gynecological surgeons perform hysteroscopic and laparoscopic interventions for infertility, genital endometriosis, uterine fibroids, and pelvic organ prolapse. The professor was particularly impressed by the performance of organ-preserving operations on 14 patients with such a terrible diagnosis as cervical pregnancy. Work on oncofertility continues: over the course of 2 years, ovarian tissue was frozen in 9 patients with oncology, giving hope for motherhood after full recovery. In 2016, the department's urologists performed more than 300 operations, most using a modern operating microscope (K. Zeiss). The most common operation is testicular biopsy, which makes it possible to find single spermatozoa and perform an ICSI program, which gives men a chance for paternity with the most severe diagnosis - non-obstructive azoospermia.
